Three playback modes: choose Timed Playback (classic speed + start delay), Voice-Activated Scroll (experimental — scrolls while you speak, pauses when you’re quiet), or Speech-Tracked Scroll (experimental, Pro — on-device speech recognition to follow your place in the script). Each mode has its own controls in Settings → Playback.
Fonts: use any font installed on your Mac — the Text tab now includes Recents, Popular, and a full All Fonts list.
MIDI (Pro): map a MIDI note to any keyboard shortcut action from Settings → Shortcuts — great for foot pedals. Custom shortcuts and MIDI assignments are Pro-only; MIDI events are ignored without a valid license.
1.2.0Minor
Voice-activated scroll (experimental): optional playback mode where the teleprompter advances while your mic picks up speech and pauses when you stop — all on-device. Look for the EXP badge on the control bar while it’s on; we’re still fine-tuning behaviour.
More webcams, more reliably: improved camera session setup and safer handling of different built-in and external cameras.
Check for Updates: if a newer version is available when you open the app, you’ll see a clear dialog with a one-tap download to the DMG (same direct link as elsewhere in the app).
1.1.2Patch
talktrack now checks for updates from inside the app — you’ll get notified when a new version is available and can download the DMG directly.
If talktrack won’t open (sometimes a bad saved setting can cause a crash on launch), hold Option (⌥) while opening the app to clear all settings and start fresh.
1.1.1Patch
Fixed a crash when turning on the Eyeline camera (capture session could start twice at once).
If the app crashes on launch, Eyeline turns off automatically on the next open so you can recover.
Grabs the camera a bit more safely when no camera is available.
1.1Minor
macOS 15.6 and later supported.
1.0Initial
Initial public release of talktrack.
